Welcome to our new Superintendent!!

With the 2021 season underway, we would like to take a moment to recognize our new Golf Course Superintendent Ryan Arntz.  Ryan has taken on the large role of replacing Jim Hall who has been with us since 1972.

At the conclusion of last season, Jim announced that he was ready to retire and enjoy the snow-bird lifestyle.  We cannot thank Jim enough for his years of service and expertise.  There is not a blade of grass on the course that Jim is not familiar with!  We look forward to having Jim return in a limited role this season as we transition into the future.

Ryan has spent the past five years as Assistant Superintendent at Ridgeway Country Club in Neenah and has jumped right into the leadership role with us this spring.  He is bringing a fresh perspective in how we maintain the course to provide the best product possible for our guests.

Along with being a member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association Ryan is a licensed arborist and will be leading the effort to remove several trees around the course that have been identified as problems.  As most of you are aware the Emerald Ash Borer has been a nuisance throughout the Midwest for many years.  This spring we have been working on a strategic plan to identify and remove trees affected by this over the next few years while replacing as we go along.  Our goal is to address the problem while not drastically changing the complexion of the course.

Please take a moment to welcome Ryan to our family!
